Joseph is a strategic consulting partner with Jack Hurst & Associates and the Founding Principal of The Preston Group, a successful executive search and human resources consulting firm specializing in the high-tech, manufacturing and professional service industries. Services offered by The Preston Group include retainer search, executive assessment, executive coaching and career transition counseling.

 

Joseph is a seasoned Human Resources executive with experience in diverse environments from Fortune 100 Corporations and consulting firms to entrepreneurial start-ups. Prior to forming The Preston Group, he was a Senior Manager and Practice Head for Ernst & Young, the nation’s leading integrated professional services firm.  Joseph established their technology search practice, participated in their health care search practice and pioneered new services in executive assessment and coaching, and career transition counseling.

 

His corporate track record includes more than ten years of Human Resources management experience in the high-tech and service industries. He completed his corporate career as a Director of HR for Harris Corporation, the third largest systems and semiconductor manufacturer in the world. He was responsible for all HR services for three divisions of the company with more than eight thousand employees and $600 million in sales. He was responsible for a 2.4 million dollar technology search budget, and represented the corporation in the successful execution of all retainer search contracts.

 

Joseph holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Psychology from San Jose State University. After completing over 45 hours of graduate course work and completing a one-year practicum in psychometrics and assessment he received certification by the American Psychological Association in Career Guidance and Testing.
